The Carrier Mills-Stonefort scholar bowl team learned Monday that this year’s coaches poll ranked them 7th out of 30 IHSA Class A teams in their region. The Wildcats (8-4) will move on to the March 6 IHSA Class A regionals at a location to be determined.
“I’m proud of our scholar bowl students and all the hard work they’ve put in this year,” coach Burke Wasson said. “We’ve practiced at least twice a week since October, and it’s paid off.”
The Wildcats have been led by all-conference sophomore Jade Nalley in her first season on the team.
