Scholar Bowl

At the annual Greater Egyptian Conference scholar bowl tournament, the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats (8-2) clawed their way to a 2nd place finish. The Wildcats went 4-2 on the day, handing tournament champion Galatia its only loss. The Wildcats were paced by junior Jade Nalley’s 610 points across 6 matches. Sophomore Lilian Crawford scored 330, senior captain Brianna Cullers scored 220, junior Carson Van Dyke scored 80, sophomore Brayden Kirk scored 40, and sophomore Brayden Harmon scored 10. The Wildcats’ tournament match results are as follows: a 190-150 win over Crab Orchard, a 200-180 loss to Pope County, a 220-190 win over Hardin County, a 250-210 loss to Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, a 260-110 win over Gallatin County, and a 260-250 win over Galatia.
