The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Mentor Club shared an art project with several Grade School students the week of October 14. Mrs. Lane, the Mentor Club Sponsor, explained that the students were introduced to the concept of abstract art or "art is what you see." The highlighted artist was Wassily Kandinsky and the students used paper, construction paper, magazines, scissors, and glue. The students were allowed to use different media to make their own abstract art piece. All Kindergarten through 5th grade students will get to participate in the lesson.
