CMSF Gold Wildcat

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort Cross Country team competed in the IHSA Regional Meet at West Frankfort on October 26. For the Girls Senior Abby Whiting finished her Cross Country career in 24th Place with a time of 23:33 and sophomore Emma Odum finished in 46th Place with a time of 26:57. In the Boys Meet, Sophomore Aidan Rollins finished in 12th Place with a time of 17:35 and Sophomore Robbie Hadley was 21st with a time of 18:14. The rest of the boys scores were: Jacob Reeves (47) 19:55, Brandon Hambleton (48) 20:05, Malaki Metcalf (49) 20:07, Kyle Bristown (67) 21:30, and DC Stout (68) 21:46.

For the event, the Boys Team Scores were: Benton 21, Hamilton County 51, Fairfield 129, NCOE 142, Gallatin Couty 146, Carrier Mills 152, Crab Orchard 154, West Frankfort 176, Harrisburg 187, Galatia 248, Thompsonville 269. With a 6th Place finish at Regionals, the CMSF Cross Country Wildcats Boys' Team will now advance to the Sectional Meet next Saturday at Benton.

Coach Eisenhauer said, "I was happy to see the boys advance to Sectionals. I was proud of all the kids' effort because they ran in a driving rainstorm and there were several places on the course where the water was standing several inches deep.  Even though Abby Whiting did not make it to Sectionals, I thought she ran really well."
