Graduation Caps in the Air

The Graduation Parade to honor the Class of 2020 will be held on Friday, May 8 at 6:00 pm.

Seniors, you are responsible for your own vehicle and decorating that vehicle (only one senior per car to adhere to the social distancing rules).

We will pass out caps and gowns the week of May 4. Please call between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm May 4-8, and let us know you are on your way to the High School. We will have your cap and gown waiting for you.

On May 8, all Seniors will meet at the high school at 5:15 pm, put on their caps and gowns, and get their senior class picture taken (standing 6 feet apart of course). Individual pictures will be taken in front of the school and the group photo will be taken on the baseball field.

When the pictures are done, we will line you up in alphabetical order in the parking lot. You will then follow Mr. Jerrell to the start of the parade. The parade will start in front of the Grade School parking lot (where the Catskin Days Parade begins).

Spectators may sit in front of their houses, in lawn chairs (6 feet apart), or in their cars along the streets.

The parade will begin at 6:00 pm. The parade route will be:

Drive North on Main Street to Trammel Street.

Turn onto Trammel and head west to Mill Street.

Go south on Mill Street to Route 45.

Turn East on Route 45 and turn into the high school parking lot.

The Carrier Mills and Stonefort police and fire departments will lead the parade.

WEBQ will be parked at the beginning of the parade, and they will announce the seniors, their accomplishments, and the activities they participated in during high school. Those sitting in their vehicles can listen to these announcements on WEBQ 1240 AM or WEBQ 102.3 FM. The Daily Register will also be in attendance to take pictures for the newspaper.

The parade will end at the CMSF High School, where you will be handed a dinner in a to-go container (courtesy of Mrs. Mitchell and the Student Council).
