Carrier Mills-Stonefort Elementary School kicked off its annual Young Authors' program today, featuring special guests Justin and Ashton Webb. The Webbs are co-authors of two children's books: "Nelson and Winslow Celebrate the 618" and "Nelson and Winslow Listen to Marion." Ashton Webb delivered an inspiring speech to our kindergarten through eighth-grade students, encouraging them to take a small idea and turn it into a book. A highlight of the event was the opportunity for students to meet one of the stars from the book "Nelson the Dog." The Young Authors' contest is now open to all students in kindergarten through eighth grade, with submissions due on Friday, February 20, 2026.
