Back to School

This is just a reminder, but school will begin on Monday, August 24 for all Carrier Mills-Stonefort students. The doors will open at both buildings at 7:45 am each morning and breakfast will be served to the students in the classrooms at the beginning of the day. School will dismiss at 1:45 pm this year. Remember, everyone must wear a mask, have a daily temperature check, frequently sanitize or wash their hands, and practice social distancing while at school.

Also, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Egyptian Health Department (EHD) recently released  their updated COVID-19 Exclusion Guidance. It states that any student should be sent home and provided remote instruction if they have any of the following symptoms: a fever of 100.4 or higher, headache, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, congestion or runny nose, new loss of sense of taste or smell, nausea, fatigue, and/or muscle or body aches. If your child/young adult has any of these symptoms, please keep them home from school. If they complain of any of the above symptoms while at school, the school will contact you to pick them up.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, have a wonderful last "summer weekend."
