Attention Wildcat Community: Illinois Law requires that all students participate in Active Threat Drills within the first 90 days of school. Now, with parents' authorization, the students may participate in alternative Active Threat training rather than physically participating in safety drills. On Monday, October 5, all students in grades 6-12 will receive active threat training. After the training is completed, the entire school district (grades PreK-12) will hold active threat drills to practice the procedures taught during the training for all students in grades Pre-K through 12. The state of Illinois requires the school district to give parents/guardians the option to opt their student out of the active threat drills. If you DO NOT want your child to participate in the active threat drills, please contact the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School at (618) 994-2413 or the CMSF High School at (618) 994-2392. If you choose to opt-out, your child will be moved to the library and will not participate in the drill.
