Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Senior Leia Bryant agreed to continue her softball career at Southeastern Illinois College next Fall. SIC Head Coach Maggie Calcaterra said, "Leia is a very versatile player with a heart of gold and passion for the game. She just wants to play and assist wherever she can, primarily at third base and outfield." CMSF High School softball coach Scott Figg said,  "The same qualities that make Leia such a great person carry over to the softball field. She  welcomes instruction, sets goals, and has a strong desire to succeed. Leia is highly optimistic and tends to bring out the best in her teammates. She'll make a great addition to SIC's softball program. I wish her well and look forward to seeing her promising future." SIC Coach Calcaterra went on to say, "Leia fits into the growing culture of SIC softball, where academics and athleticism are valued. We want to perform on the field and even more importantly in the classroom."
