The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School just completed the first PBIS Event of the year. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Strategies, and it is the school's way of rewarding students for their hard work, positive choices, and respect towards their teachers and peers. The students are rewarded at least once a month with a PBIS Event for following the Rule of Five (Attend School, Learn Something New, Ask Questions, Tell the Truth, and Treat Others with Respect).
Homeroom Challenge #1: The Dodgeball Tournament, took place on September 3. All students with their work completed to the best of their ability by September 3, were allowed to participate in the event. Each class had a team of twelve players that participated in the tournament.
In the first game, it was Ryan's Renegades upsetting Eisenhauer's Giant Killers. The Freshmen Class then advanced to the Championship Game and the Juniors moved to the Consolation Bracket.
In the second semi-final, Kuhlmann's Killaz narrowly escaped against the Sophomore Class, DeNeal's Destroyers. The Seniors then advanced to the Championship while the Sophomores moved on to the Consolation Championship contest.
