That left the Championship game between Lane's Lunatics and Anderson's Awesome Ones. The beginning of the contest went back and forth, with each team trading the lead halfway through the scoring. Senior Colton Mitchell found his rhythm and helped the Senior class pull ahead to a 19-10 advantage. But, needing only two more points for the win, the Seniors would not score again. The Sophomores inched closer each round and with the score at 19-15, Sophomore Donte Ellis scored six points to push the Awesome Ones to the victory, causing the gym to erupt with cheers (and a few shocked faces from the Seniors).
Coach Anderson was presented with the Victory is Ours trophy and her Awesome Ones were given the Championship Belts. Members of Anderson's Awesome Ones were (left to right): Lane Boaz, Coach Anderson, and Donte Ellis.
