Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Senior Caden VanMeter became the newest member of the Wildcat 1,000 Point Club during the Homecoming Game on January 21. Caden scored 390 points as a Freshman, 151 points as a Sophomore, and 192 points as a Junior. Before Friday's game with Thompsonville, Caden had 977 points, just 23 points away from 1,000. With 4:50 left in the 2nd Quarter, Caden hit a 3-point shot, his fifth of the half, sending the fans into a frenzy and giving him 25 points (two more than he needed for 1,000). The Wildcats will begin play in the GEC Tournament this week, with Caden at 1,005 points. Caden's next goal, is to reach 1,058 points in his career, so that he can pass his father, Joe VanMeter, who is also on the Wildcat 1,000 Point Club with 1,057 points.
