Volleyball Consolation Champions

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School just completed their second PBIS Event of the year. Homeroom Challenge #2: The Volleyball Tournament took place on September 30. Those students that followed the Rule of 5 (Attend School, in September were eligible to attend the event. Each class had one team entered in the volleyball tournament. In the first round, it was the first team to 15 and in the championship round it was the first team to 20.

In the first game, it was Vinyard's Vipers, the Senior Class, against DeNeal's Destroyers, the Sophomore Class. The Sophomores got off to a fast start and a quick 5-0 lead, before the Seniors rallied with two points of their own. The Sophomores, behind great serves from Tyli Harp, Abbie Pickering, and JuJu Crisp, put an end to the Seniors hopes of a trip to the championship game, winning 15-6.

In the second game, it was the Junior Class, Pappy's Paralyzers, versus the Freshmen Class, Manier's White Knights. Junior Kaylee Klope served up seven straight points and the Junior Class easily advanced past the Freshmen 15-5.

In the Consolation Championship, it was the Seniors vs. the Freshmen. Vinyard's Vipers quickly defeated Manier's White Knights 20-8 to win the Consolation Championship.

The Championship Game was DeNeal's Destroyers (Sophomores) against Pappy's Paralyzers (Juniors). This game went back and forth, but the Sophomores pulled ahead on excellent serving to take the championship 20-15. This is the second straight victory for the Sophomore Class. They won the Dodgeball Tournament during the first PBIS Event of the year.
