Scholar Bowl

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Scholar Bowl teams completed a season sweep of Crab Orchard on December 7. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams won, and each team is now 4-2 on the season. 

After trailing 30-10 at the end of the 1st quarter, the varsity Wildcats pulled away in the 2nd quarter and won 220-100 over the varsity Trojans. Sophomore Jade Nalley led the Wildcats with 100 points. Senior captain Kaylee Horn scored 70, junior Devyn Valdez scored 30, and junior Brianna Cullers scored 20.

The JV Wildcats never trailed throughout their match, winning 210-140. Nalley led the JV team with 90 points. Freshman captain Brayden Harmon scored 50, freshman Elijah Cummins scored 40, and freshman Brayden Kirk scored 30.

The Wildcats will look to keep their winning streak going tomorrow at home, as both teams will play Thompsonville at 11 a.m.
