Tonight is our first home basketball game at Carrier Mills-Stonefort Junior High. Remember students in grades Pre-K-8th grade must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to get into the game. If your child is dropped off without a parent or guardian, we will call you to come back and pick up your child. Also, students must sit and watch the game and should not be allowed to run around the gym or the school during the game. Thank you for helping us make this a great basketball season. Go Wildcats!!

Kindergarten students are also required to submit proof of lead screening, vision exam, and a complete vaccination record. Students in 12th grade must provide proof of their second meningococcal vaccine. Please contact the school nurse with questions. If you have not submitted proof of the required health forms, please do so before the deadline. Your child will be excluded starting October 16th until the required health forms have been submitted.
Carrier Mills-Stonefort Unit 2 Schools will be closed on Friday, October 9-Friday, October 16 for fall break. School will be dismissed at 1:45 pm on Thursday, October 8. This is also the end of the 1st quarter. Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, October 21.
Basketball tryouts for students in grades 6-8 will be today, Monday, September 28, Tuesday, September 29 and Thursday, October 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the grade school. You must have a copy of your sports physical and proof of insurance for tryouts.

We are excited to announce our pre-kindergarten program will be transitioning to a FULL DAY beginning on October 5. If you are interested in having your 3 or 4 year old child screened for pre-kindergarten, please call Mrs. Beth Dillard at (618) 994-2413. Screenings for Pre-Kindergarten will be scheduled on October 1 and 2 for this school year. If your child will be 3 before October 1, he or she could qualify for our pre-k program.
It's Catskin Day Weekend, which means the Junior Class Pancake Breakfast will be Saturday, September 26 at the grade school cafeteria from 8:00 - 10:00 am. Please come out and support the Junior Class as they fundraise for prom. Remember to bring your tickets if you purchased them from a junior or you can pay at the door. Adults are $8 and students are $5. We hope to see you there!
The cross country meet for today is canceled due to the heat.
The high school volleyball game scheduled for 9/21 at Hardin County will be moved to 10/5. The bus will leave at 4:30 pm.
Junior High Baseball will play tonight, September 11 at 6:30 pm at Oasis in Marion. Junior High Softball will play tomorrow, Saturday, September 12 at 11:00 am at Oasis in Marion. Everyone will be charged $5 at the gate for each game.

High school registration fees have now been assessed. Please contact Michelle at the high school for the amount due for your child. The fees posted on PowerSchool are not accurate.
Attention Wildcat Community: Tonight is the first home volleyball game of the season at the High School. We will play Dongola. The Varsity game will begin at 6:00 pm this evening, and we will have no Junior Varsity game. All parents/guardians should be informed that elementary (PreK-8th grade) students will not be allowed to attend home volleyball games as spectators without a parent or guardian accompanying them to the game. Students cannot be dropped off to watch the game without adult supervision. If your child is dropped off or walks to the game without supervision, they will not be allowed to enter the game and the parent/guardian will be called to pick them up.
