Carrier Mills-Stonefort Unit 2 Schools will dismiss at 1:45 pm on Friday, October 31. The Carrier Mills Fall Festival sponsored by the NHS, Service Club, HS Student Council, & GS Student Council will be in the High School Parking Lot from 4:00-7:00 pm. This will include Trunk-or-Treat (Trophies will be awarded for the Most Original Trunk, the Scariest Trunk, the Cutest Trunk, and the Overall Best Trunk), the Pumpkin Carving Contest (Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place), and a Chili Cook-Out (Prizes will be awarded for the Best Chili and the Runner-Up).
Volleyball Parents/Guardians: Tickets for the regional volleyball game can be purchased through GoFan or at the door. Digital Tickets are $6 per person (all ages). Cash tickets are $8 per person (all ages). These are the prices that are set by the IHSA, not the host school.
CMSF High School Students: Reminder, Ribbon Week starts tomorrow. Day #1: Rally in Red Day (Wear Red). Day #2: Rhyme Without Reason Day (Wear Something that Rhymes for No Reason; Starry Night & Betty White), Day #3: Flannel Day (Wear Your Flannel Shirt), Day #4: Camo Day (Wear Your Camouflage Gear), and Day #5: Character Day (Dress Up as Your Favorite Character)!

Tonight our Carrier Mills-Stonefort Junior High Wildcat basketball team will play Galatia at home. We would like for everyone to wear red to the game to show our support for Emi Belford. Emi is a student at Galatia Junior High who experienced a medical emergency during a basketball game at New Simpson Hill. If you would like to support her family, a collection box will be at the ticket table tonight. The money will be given to her family to help with medical bills and other expenses since she has been in the hospital. We hope everyone can come out tonight and help support the Wildcats and our fellow bearcat by wearing red!

As our basketball season approaches, parents should be informed that elementary (K-8) students will not be allowed to attend basketball games as spectators without a parent or guardian accompanying them to the game. Students cannot be dropped off to watch the game without adult supervision. This includes students in all grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. If your child is dropped off or walks to the game without supervision, the parent or guardian will be called to pick them up.

Attention Wildcat Community: Next week, the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School and High School will present their Active Shooter Training for all students, faculty, and staff. These procedures, which are required by law, are in place to keep our schools as safe as possible and will be presented by the Carrier Mills Chief of Police at both buildings. If you do not want your student to participate in the training, you must notify the school and a separate training will be scheduled for your child/young adult. Also, if you see local law enforcement and/or fire officials at the school next week, please do not be alarmed. This is part of our Active Shooter Training and Fire Prevention Week. If you have any questions, please contact your student's school.
Attention High School Students: A Jostens Representative will be here tomorrow morning (Friday, October 3) at 8:00 am to collect Class Ring, Letterman Jacket, and Cap & Gown orders for all Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Make sure you have your order form and payment ready to turn in tomorrow.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort Junior High Basketball Tryouts will be tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30 from 5:00-8:00 pm in the grade school gym. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to try out for the junior high team. Students must have a physical and proof of insurance for tryouts.
