This is just a reminder, but the Class of 2020 Graduation Practice is scheduled for this Friday, July 17 in the CMSF High School at 9:00 am. LifeTouch will be here to take Graduation Pictures, so remember to bring your caps, gowns, and cords with you. We will then take a Senior Group Picture on the baseball field before heading to the softball field to practice for the ceremony. Class of 2020, remember to bring your caps, gowns, and cords. Valedictorian and Salutatorian, remember to bring your speeches. Students, remember to bring any completed work that you still owe from March 17-May 19 and to bring money if you still owe any school fees. For everyone's safety, you must wear a mask while you are in the building (you may take it off for your picture since you will be 6 feet away from everyone else). You must wear a mask while you are outside anytime you are not 6 feet away from everyone else. The group picture will be taken on the baseball field, with individual spaces marked for each student (6 feet apart). Graduates, you will be given your four tickets for the event after the practice Friday morning. The Graduation Ceremony will begin at 8:00 pm on July 17. Graduates, you will need to be at the High School no later than 7:30 pm. You will report to the High School Gym before the ceremony begins. Please call the school if you have any questions about the Graduation Practice or the Ceremony (618-994-2392).

Attention Seniors: On July 9, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), along with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), made the following change to the Phase 4 requirements for school districts: "There must be a strict 50 person limit to all indoor activities, and that would include any spectators (people in those groups should also socially distance)." Because of this change, we will no longer be able to conduct our Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony in DeWitt Gymnasium. After going through several different options, we have decided to make the following announcement: The Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony will be held on the CMSF High School Softball Field at 8:00 pm on Friday, July 17. Graduation practice will still be held at 9:00 am on July 17. The practice will begin in the gym for pictures and then will move outside to practice on the softball field. To be eligible to participate in the ceremony, seniors must have all their work completed and must have all of their student fees paid. Masks must be worn while you are inside the building and outside the building when you are not at least 6 feet away from another person. The Senior Graduates and Junior Marshals will still be issued four tickets for the event. The students, faculty, staff, administration, and school board members will be on the softball field and all guests will be outside of the fence. Some chairs will be placed around the outside of the fence, spaced 6 feet apart for social distancing requirements, but you may bring your own seating. We realize that this plan will be completely dependent upon two things: The Community and The Weather. We need the community to adhere to the IDPH and ISBE rules and regulations to keep everyone safe before, during, and after the event. We need the weather to cooperate with a nice cool evening and no rain. We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, July 17 for this wonderful event! Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, Keep Learning, Go Wildcats!
