Attention Parents: Due to the high winds today we have several trees that are down in Stonefort and in Carrier Mills. We have been made aware that a tree is down on North Battleford Road in Stonefort, on Town Park Road in Carrier Mills, and on Carrier Mills Road. Due to trees being across roads, our busses may be a little later than usual getting your student home. Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School Awards Day will be on Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the high school gym. This has been changed from the original date of Wednesday, May 25. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The baseball regional game for today has been postponed until tomorrow. The bus will leave tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School baseball will be playing at Goreville today. The bus will pick up players at 3:40 at the high school. The game will start a little later than normal.

We will have a Zoodles Assembly at the Grade School TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 10. A note has been sent home, but in order for your student to WATCH THE SHOW, they must sign and return the note by TOMORROW. If your child would like to hold an animal and/or have a picture with one, they will need to pay $10 as well but EVERYONE MUST HAVE a permission slip signed to WATCH the show.

We will have a Zoodles Assembly at the Grade School next Tuesday, May 10. A note has been sent home, but in order for your student to attend, they must sign and return the note by next Tuesday. The permission slip will also allow you to have pictures taken with certain animals. Although their is a cost for the pictures, their is no cost for the assembly. The students just need to return their permission slip in order to attend.
Carrier Mills-Stonefort students will NOT be dismissed at 1:45 today. School will be on regular schedule and students will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m.
Reminder: The tutoring program that has been running on Tuesdays and Thursdays has ended for K-5th grades. Tutoring will continue for those 6th-8th grade students who were notified today. If you have any questions please contact the Grade School.
Carrier Mills Unit #2 schools will be practicing security measures and drills which are mandated by Illinois law. During this time, it will not be uncommon to see emergency personnel at the schools as police officers and firefighters assist us on implementation. There is no need to be alarmed. ​Attention Class of 2022: Your Caps & Gowns have arrived for Graduation. They cost $35 each and are available in Mrs. Kuhlmann’s office.
