Tonight, Carrier Mills-Stonefort Elementary School will host our spring open house. The open house will be from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm and will also include a free meal for our Wildcats and their families in our cafeteria. During the open house, our school will also be kicking off the One School One Book Event and students will receive a copy of the book How to Eat Fried Worms. We will have games in the gym! The book fair will be open in the library with all proceeds helping fund new books for our school and classroom libraries. We hope you can join us tonight for our open house!

Tickets for “The Rainbow Fish Musical” are on sale! $10 for adults and $5 for students. Our show will be held at the George T. Dennis Performing Arts Center at Southeastern Illinois College on Wednesday, March 20th at 7:00pm, and March 21st at 7:00pm. Please contact Mr. Long at clong@cmsfcats.org for your tickets.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 1 is spring picture day at Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School. Please remember to send the form back with your child if you would like to purchase spring pictures. We will only be taking pictures of the students who have forms. Also, volleyball individual and team pictures will be taken. Please remember to send your child's uniform for pictures.
The 5/6 grade basketball game will be played at home tonight at 5:00 pm instead of 6:00 pm.
The volleyball game for tonight at Gallatin County will be played at 5:00 pm. The bus will leave at 4:00 pm. The girls need to be at the school at 3:45 pm. There will not be a 6th grade game tonight. The JV game will start at 5:00 pm followed by the varsity game.
If your child participated in the Young Author's Contest, on Friday, March 1 at 1:30 pm, we would like to invite you to honor the participants of our Young Authors Program. At this time, we will present awards to students who participated in our program, as well as award the 1st-3rd place winners from Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade and best illustrations for each grade group. Please join us on Friday, February 1 to honor your child for their accomplishments as a young author!

The young author's book deadline has been extended to Tuesday, February 20. Books must be turned in by the deadline to be judged. Attention Parents/Guardians: This is just a reminder, but all of our Grade School classrooms have special Valentine’s Day activities planned for the students next week. Just like the previous years, the CMSF Grade School Office and the High School Office will not be accepting any Valentine deliveries. This creates a disruption and makes the other students in the classroom feel left out. All of the local flower and specialty shops are aware of this request. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.
