Attention High School Parents: Today was Day #1 of our 1st Semester Exams. Today was scheduled for Remote Learning students that needed to take their semester exams. Tomorrow, December 17, will be Day #2 for Semester Exams. Those In-Person Learning students that need to take their exams should report to school at 7:45 am. The final day for any In-Person or Remote Learning student to take Semester Exams is this Friday, December 18 from 7:45 am to 1:45 pm. Attention Seniors: We will have a meeting this Tuesday, December 15 in the High School gym at 12:00 pm to discuss FAFSA information and upcoming scholarship deadlines and other graduation related information. Although this meeting is not mandatory, FAFSA completion is mandatory for graduating high school and several scholarship deadlines are quickly approaching, so you are highly encouraged to attend tomorrow at noon. Attention High School Parents and Students: The semester exam policy has been changed for the 2020-2021 school year. For this year only, school attendance will not be taken into consideration when determining who takes semester exams. Students that receive a D or an F during any Quarter, will have to take semester exams. Those students wanting to improve their grade, may also take semester exams. All exams must be taken at school.
The Semester Exam schedule for the 1st Semester will be:
Wednesday, December 16 from 7:45 am to 1:05 pm will be Semester Exams for Remote Learners.
Thursday, December 17 from 7:45 am to 1:05 pm will be Semester Exams for In-Person Learners.
Friday, December 18 from 7:45 am to 1:05 pm will be Semester Exams for any In-Person or Remote Learner that was absent from school on Wednesday or Thursday.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort School District will not be in session this Friday, November 20. School will resume on Monday, November 23 at 7:45 am.

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School and High School will resume its normal schedule on Monday, November 9 with In-Person Learning from 7:45 am to 1:45 pm and Remote Learning from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm.

Attention Parents/Guardians, Jr. High Students, and High School Students: This Friday, November 6 will be the final full remote learning day for the Carrier Mills-Stonefort School District. Starting Monday, November 9 we will resume our schedule of in-person learning from 7:45 am to 1:45 pm and remote learning from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays will continue to be remote learning days with no student attendance.
Although we have provided remote learning from October 23 through November 6, we have several students that have not completed all of their work. Unfortunately, this means we have several students that are currently failing one or more of their classes. To assist those students that have not completed all of their remote learning work over the past two weeks, we are offering an extended school day starting Monday, November 9.
This means that any Jr. High or High School student that is failing one or more of their classes will be required to stay at school from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm each day until all of their work has been completed. A late bus will run for those students in need of transportation assistance. Please check your young adult's current grades to see if they will need to stay at school on Monday, November 9 from 1:45-3:00. This will also give them Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of this week to complete any missing work they have yet to complete.

The Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School and High School will be closed on Tuesday, November 3 for Election Day. In June, Governor Pritzker signed Public Act 101-0642 into law, creating a number of requirements aimed at helping the state prepare for holding the 2020 General Election in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. This law requires November 3, 2020 to be a school holiday. No Remote Learning will be assigned on Tuesday, November 3.
Attention Wildcat Family, throughout our remote learning days (October 23 through November 6) the cooks will provide a free breakfast and lunch each day school is normally in session. If you would like a free breakfast or lunch, please contact the Grade School at 618-994-2413, to place your order.
Friday's Breakfast menu will be: Donut, Fruit, Juice, and Milk.
Friday's Lunch menu will be: Hot Ham N' Cheese Sandwich, Chips, Pork N' Beans, Fruit, and Milk.
Remember, anyone living in Carrier Mills or Stonefort that is under 18 is eligible for a free breakfast and lunch.
You may pick-up your breakfast at the CMSF Grade School cafeteria doors between 7:45 am-9:00 am and lunch may be picked up at the Grade School between 10:30 am-12:00 pm.

Attention CMSF Parents/Guardians: You must provide the school with your student's updated immunization records, physicals, proof of an eye exam, and proof of a dental exam by October 15. Free Breakfast and Lunch for All for the Entire 2020-2021 school year:
The Carrier Mills-Stonefort School District would like to announce that all breakfast and lunch will be served for free for the remainder of the school year. On October 9, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is extending flexibilities to allow free meals to continue to be available to all children throughout the entire 2020-2021 school year. Any resident of Carrier Mills or Stonefort that is 18 years or younger, qualifies for a free breakfast and free lunch when school is in session.

The CMSF High School faculty, staff, and administration would like to welcome you to attend our Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences. These very important conferences will be held in the High School gym on Tuesday, October 13 from 3:15-6:15 pm and then again on Wednesday, October 14 from 3:15-6:15 pm. For in-person meetings, families and educators must follow all five public health requirements: 1) Temperature checks at the door, 2) Masks must be worn at all times, 3) No more than 50 people in the gym at one time, 4) Social distancing must be followed (6-feet of separation), 5) Hand sanitizer will be provided at the doors. In order to adhere to the above requirements, we have established the following schedule: October 13: Freshmen parents/guardians from 3:15-4:45 and Juniors from 4:45-6:15. October 14: Scheduled meetings will occur from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (the office has notified these parents/guardians of their scheduled times). Attention Parents/Guardians: The Carrier Mills-Stonefort School schedule will continue as it currently is throughout the second quarter. This means that in-person learners will go to school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45 am to 1:45 pm, remote learners will have assignments available online each day, and each Wednesday throughout the second quarter will be for remote learning only with no student attendance. Warning: Due Dates Are Closer Than They Appear- The end of the 1st Quarter is this Friday, October 9. All classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests from August 24 through October 9 must be turned in by this Friday at 3:00 pm.
