Attention Wildcat Community: Next week, the Carrier Mills-Stonefort Grade School and High School will present their Active Shooter Training for all students, faculty, and staff. These procedures, which are required by law, are in place to keep our schools as safe as possible and will be presented by the Carrier Mills Chief of Police at both buildings. If you do not want your student to participate in the training, you must notify the school and a separate training will be scheduled for your child/young adult. Also, if you see local law enforcement and/or fire officials at the school next week, please do not be alarmed. This is part of our Active Shooter Training and Fire Prevention Week. If you have any questions, please contact your student's school.
Attention High School Students: A Jostens Representative will be here tomorrow morning (Friday, October 3) at 8:00 am to collect Class Ring, Letterman Jacket, and Cap & Gown orders for all Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Make sure you have your order form and payment ready to turn in tomorrow.
Carrier Mills-Stonefort Elementary School presents the school
play "Pippi Longstocking” on Thursday, October 9th at 6:00pm in the Grade School Gym. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. You may pre-order tickets or purchase them at the door the night of the show. Please contact Mr. Long at clong@cmsfcats.org for your tickets.
Carrier Mills-Stonefort Junior High Basketball Tryouts will be tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30 from 5:00-8:00 pm in the grade school gym. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to try out for the junior high team. Students must have a physical and proof of insurance for tryouts.

Attention Wildcat Community: The Junior Class Pancake Breakfast is this coming Saturday from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM at the grade school cafeteria. Tickets are $8 for an adult and $5 for children, with all proceeds going to the Junior Class Prom. We hope to see you there.
The Carrier Mills-Stonefort Junior High Baseball round 2 regional game will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23 at 4:00 pm at the Marion Oasis Sports Complex on Field C4.
The Jr. High baseball first-round regional game scheduled for today has been canceled. Due to Joppa’s forfeit, Carrier Mills will advance to the second round. The boys will play on Tuesday, September 23 at 4:00 PM at Carrier Mills.
Attention Volleyball Parents/Guardians: For tonight's game at Gallatin County, the varsity team will play first at 6:00 p.m., followed by the JV game.
Carrier Mills-Stonefort Unit 2 will conduct pre-k screenings for any child from Birth to 4 years of age on October 2 and 3. Students must be 3 years old to begin pre-k but students birth to 3 will be screened for additional services if needed based on the screening data. Please call the elementary school at (618) 994-2413 and speak to Mrs. Beth Dillard to schedule a conference. All students must be screened to attend pre-k.
High School Parents/Guardians: Tomorrow, Thursday, September 18 is Iconik Fall Picture Day (8:00 am; School pictures, Cross Country pictures, Volleyball pictures, & Wall of Fame pictures). Attention Parents/Guardians: Health Requirements are due no later than October 15th. Exemptions will begin October 16th. Students in grades Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th, and 9th must submit proof of a physical, and dental exam. Kindergarten students are also required to submit proof of lead screening, vision exam, and a complete vaccination record. Students in 12th grade must provide proof of their second meningococcal vaccine. Please contact the school nurse with questions.
